As I walk into my future office, I imagine on the right having a coffee/tea maker that helps me get through all of my difficult days at work. Across from the coffee maker is a smart tv that is hooked to the wall by a mount that looks like it is floating there. This will be used for presenting my ideas to my clients and getting their feedback on the projects they requested me to complete. As I continue in my office, sitting on my desk will be 2 IPS monitors by either Dell or HP. Having 2 monitors will provide a smoother creation process because I can do multiple things at a time and use them for comparisons if needed. I chose IPS monitors because they’d have better color resolution compared to other types. It would have the most updated intel core and windows operating system. I would aim for there to be 4 HDMI ports between the two monitors and 4 USBs as well. I’d also want it to have all the basic ports most of the towers used to have. I would also like for it to have as much memory and space as possible so I’d aim for it to have 128 GB of memory and start off with 1 TB of storage and add if needed. I’d also most likely get an extra 512 GB of additional storage to be safe. The monitors should already have speakers so it wouldn’t be necessary for me to get extras since I wouldn’t be gaming at my office. I would however make sure that the monitor has a built-in camera or get an attachment for it in order to do video calls with clients. I would also have an HP printer-copier-scanner combination for any printing and paper documentation. As for software, I would definitely have Adobe Creative Cloud. I would use mainly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign but I’m sure some of the other apps would come in handy at some point. I would probably download Miro as well because I have found it is a great program for forming mood boards and overall brainstorming. Lastly, I would probably have all the Microsoft apps, such as word, powerpoint, etc. since those are always useful.
