Career Goals
My journey of deciding what major I wanted to pursue has been a long one. I started out wanting to be an engineer so I could work on ships for NASA. After taking a few physics and math classes, I realized it was going to be a struggle if I stayed in that field. Then I changed to a health sciences major so I could be a Physical Therapist. I quickly found out that field was not for me after taking anatomy and biology. I then went on to computer science, which after attempting to do programming I realized that too was not for me. Before finalizing the major I have now, I attempted business classes and because of low grades I decided to switch majors to something I truly enjoyed and could see myself doing, Graphic Design. I have been interested in Photography and I believe this major will help me expand my knowledge on this subject as well as more in the fine arts. Half way through fall semester of 2022, I realized I didn't enjoy doing Graphic Design and decided to switch my major again. I chose to switch to Educational Technology because of my love of helping others and for technology. I hope that I am able to stick with this career path as I move forward.

In 5-10 years I am not sure where I will be career-wise. I will have graduated with my Bachelor's degree and have hopefully found a job that suits me well. My ideal job would be one that allows me to travel and put my educational technology skills to use. I can see myself being a traveling photographer for a few years. A few places I want to go to are Japan, London, New Zealand, China, Italy, France, Spain, India, and Guyana. I plan to intern my last year of college which will help open up doors to jobs that will allow me to achieve this. I would like to start out a smaller company and help them build their company up so I am able to get a feel for what that is like.
I am not sure where life will take me, so I am sure these goals will change every few years depending on what is going on with the world. I look forward to seeing what happens.
